She discussed her experience of peace exchange with the United Nations and GNWP, sharing insights from her participation in meetings held in New York that shaped global strategies for women’s rights worldwide. She also talked about the success of her documentary film ‘Women fighters for Peace’ winning the first place in the international award ‘Women, Media, Security, and Peace’ organized by GNWP. Furthermore, she highlighted the diverse media production of Presses Partout in the field of television content production.

Zalfa Assaf, the media figure, director, and executive producer of Presses Partout company, won the international award and was ranked as first prize of the  “Media, Women, Security, and Peace” award, sponsored by the Ministry of Information, organized by the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders.

The competition aims to support UN Security Council Resolution 1325, which focuses on enhancing women’s role in security and peace. The celebration took place at Beit Beirut in Sodeco.

The documentary “Women fighters for Peace” won the first prize and was prepared, executed, and directed by Assaf through Presses Partout company-Media Production House, produced by Al Jazeera Documentary Channel.

Zalfa Georges Assaf, the media personality, director, and executive producer, won the first prize in Lebanon in the ‘Media, Women, Security, and Peace’ competition sponsored by the Ministry of Information. The event was organized by the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders, aiming to support UN Security Council Resolution 1325, which focuses on enhancing the role of women in security and peace. The celebration took place at Beit Beirut El Sodeco, attended by participants, media figures, human rights activists, and representatives of international organizations.

Twenty media professionals, including Assaf, participated in the competition, where she secured the first prize with her documentary film ‘Warriors for Peace’ Produced and directed by Presses Partout, the film was broadcast on Al Jazeera Documentary Channel. The documentary narrates the stories of four Lebanese women who, after experiencing disappointment in the Lebanese war, decided to transform into peace warriors. They conveyed the message of peace to the younger Lebanese generation through oral history, improvisational theater, dialogue sessions, lectures, confessions, humanitarian and social work, and other methods. The aim is to learn from their experiences to prevent the recurrence of the civil war.

Zalfa Assaf will represent Lebanon in the Csw67 wich will be held in New York city.

“spirit of times ” a documentary (30 minutes) sheds light on miniature’s art which reflected the most beautiful Arab and Near Eastern arts. The miniatures showed lifestyles, garments, cultures and events. As well, Prose, poetry and calligraphy appeared in the drawings.

A mixture of stories take viewers into the privacy of those eras.
