Behind The Story

Zalfa Georges Assaf is the founder and CEO of Presses Partout Company. She has over 20 years of experience in the media field, including 13 years in media production. She holds a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Media.

Under her leadership, Presses Partout has successfully delivered comprehensive media solutions, overseeing projects from concept to treatment to final delivery, establishing itself as a leader in the industry.
She leads the company’s mission to deliver high-quality, impactful media tailored to meet the unique needs of clients.

Zalfa Georges Assaf has collaborated with renowned media networks on both regional and international scales. Her commitment is to build business relationships worldwide with media outlets and companies, in order to create and produce exceptional content across all platforms.

Awards

Arab Media Excellence Award by the League of Arab States

Presses Partout, led by founder and CEO Zalfa Assaf, won the Arab Media Excellence Award for Best Documentary Film at the 7th edition of the awards organized by the Arab League’s Media Sector. The winning documentary, “The Emperors of Water Tanks,” was produced by Presses Partout for Al Jazeera Documentary Channel.
Selected from 107 entries across the Arab world under the theme “Environmental Media: Climate Change and the Future,” the award was presented during the 2023 Arab Media Ministers Council in Morocco.
The film investigates Lebanon’s water crisis, revealing the contrast between the country’s natural water wealth and its severe shortages. Through a human-centered lens, it explores political, economic, and social factors, following tanker drivers and daily life amid Lebanon’s drought challenges.

Media, Women, Peace, and Security Award

Presses Partout, led by founder and CEO Zalfa George Assaf, won first place in the prestigious WPS Media Award: Media, Women, Peace, and Security (1325). The award, organized by the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) in partnership with the UN Security Council’s Women’s Committee and the Government of Canada, recognized Assaf’s documentary “Women Fighters for Peace”, produced and directed through Presses Partout for Al Jazeera Documentary Channel.
The ceremony was held in Lebanon at Beit Beirut, Sodeco, under the patronage of the Ministry of Information, with a U.S. delegation from New York attending, including Mavic Cabrera-Balleza (GNWP CEO), Katrina Leclerc (GNWP Director), and Alonna Despain (GNWP Middle East Representative).
The award supports UN Security Council Resolution 1325, promoting women’s roles in media, peace, and security. Following the win, Presses Partout represented Lebanon at UN-organized international conferences in New York, helping build global partnerships for impactful media productions that advance peace.
